#242 Awwwwkward

By “Tuesday Thursday updates” I meant Thursday only, of course! (I guess I need to stop talking about how often I’ll update and just update whenever I draw a comic. I never stick to anything anyway.)

Here’s another example of a comic that doesn’t make sense out of sequence… or if you have been following the comic in real-time instead of just reading it all at once, say, yesterday. That’s right: I require my readers to remember the details of things that happened in the comic, in our time, approximately three years ago. I also require them to tell two more-or-less identical characters apart. Lance and Eskimo: Just This Side of Incomprehensible!

LANCE: Well.
ROOK: Yes.
LANCE: Who are you?
ROOK: Name’s Rook. Rook Rastinan.
LANCE: That sounds oddly familiar.
ROOK: It’s a kind of bird.
LANCE: Redcloud is a kind of cloud, so… I know how that goes.
LANCE: I should…
ROOK: Yeah.
ROOK: Hey. Redcloud?
ROOK: Nice jacket.
Outside the bar, Lance looks contemplative.
