#107 A Sound Investment

A Sound Investment

Scripted on the bus, drawn during Horatio Hornblower. Jamie Bamber is so adorable, and he loves Horatio so much!

Um. In case it isn’t clear, I’m going for the implication that only Lance has a share of his circus wages because Eskimo is about to spend all hers in the Fashion store, not that she’s already spent hers and is about to spend Lance’s. She’s a questionable decision-maker, not a thief. (Although if you want to press it, she kind of does think of Lance’s things as hers. Considering he’s her inferior, and all.)

Eskimo and Lance both possess the anachronistic mentality necessary to believe that an apartment realtor is called an “estate agent.”

ESKIMO: We can’t go to the estate agent’s looking like this!
LANCE: Amazing?
ESKIMO: Shabby. We need to look like we have money to spend.
LANCE: We still have some money from the circus, right?
ESKIMO: Correction– (She enters a store labelled “FASHION”.) You still have money from the circus.
